We are the leading exponents in Ireland of ground and surface scanning. Our scanning units are best in class and designed for non-destructive investigation, imaging of concrete and other man-made structures, and analysing below any surface.
We utilise our surface penetrating radar systems to uncover obstructions like rebar, electrical conduits, reinforcing steel, post tension cables due to concrete cutting and coring, in addition to embedded utilities and anything else hidden within concrete and other materials. Our surveys, data collection and subsequent analysis provides clarity and reassurance to design teams/engineers/construction professionals while making decisions on the best route forward, and also provides comfort to contractors/tradesmen that ensures their work is safe, efficient and effective.
Our inspectors are fully trained in the use of the latest surface penetrating radar technology to carry out thorough inspections, and produce first class professional reports, which include images to pinpoint the exact location of any discovered objects or defects.
All inspectors are Garda vetted, fully trained, certified system operators and fully insured.
We are a fully independent company with no affiliations with any property repair or maintenance companies. This ensures completely unbiased reporting on your behalf.
Our Audit Reports will give an honest evaluation of any objects or defects found under the surface, giving you a clear view of the best way to deal with any problems found.
Ground Penetrating Radar.ie utilises the latest cutting edge and high resolution GPR Survey (Ground Penetrating Radar) and EML (Electro-Magnetic Locators) equipment to ensure that our surveys are of the highest quality.
Using Proceq scanning equipment, we have the capabilities to:
Whether you want to core a hole in a concrete slab, assess structural integrity, test slab thickness, locate utilities or obstructions, or any other sub surface query we can determine the most appropriate survey methodology based on client’s requirements, and are proud to have the ability to provide onsite real-time data with 3D imaging capabilities.
Common/recent applications include:
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems have the capability to detect multiple buried layers at depth by sending an electromagnetic pulse into the ground, which reflects off the underlying buried layers. The depth and location of each reflection creates slices and profiles of the underlying terrain.
GPR uses pulses of energy to image the subsurface. An integrated computer records the strength and time required for the return of reflected signals, and stores this data on digital media. Differences occur in natural and man-made materials such as geological structures, wires and pipes.
Ground Penetrating Radar can be utilised in urban areas as well as rural environments, it is very effective when used on surfaces covered by tarmac or concrete and is particularly suited for mapping structural features, souterrains, voids/cavities and walls.
GPR is the most cost-effective, efficient and accurate way to look into concrete deeply and clearly. It detects objects effortlessly and reliably, and allows system users to collaborate anywhere, anytime, for hit prevention, as-built verification, and structural investigation - even in the toughest situations.
